Always wanted to go upside down but unsure how to do it safely, or always a little too scared? In this 5-week course you’ll develop familiarity, strength, breath and body awareness to explore inversions safely and without rush.
Inversions are poses where the head is below the heart. We will start exploring poses such as downward dog, bridge pose and pyramid pose, working towards forearm balance, headstand and handstand. We will also bust some of the myths about inversions, such as ‘your brain gets bathed in new oxygen’, or that ‘you shouldn’t do inversions on your period’.
This course is suitable for anyone who would like to gain a better sense of their breath and body awareness, build strength and overcome the fear of going upside down. Women on their periods also welcome! This course is not suitable, however, for complete beginners.
